DESCRIPTION:Understanding air quality for community-based solutions \n\nAre you curious about what is polluting the #air in your city? \n\nThe Center for Study of Science\, Technology and Policy’s (CSTEP’s) Air Quality sector is collaborating with the Bengaluru Sustainability Forum (BSF) to organise a webinar on 8 November 2024\, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. IST. The webinar is a part of BSF’s Climate Charche Series and will focus on the fundamentals of air pollution.\n \nIntroduction: Despite rising public consciousness and government efforts to improve air quality\, many Indian cities continue to struggle in their efforts to ensure clean air for their citizens. This is largely due to a complex set of issues\, including the lack of reliable data\, insufficient technical expertise\, limited institutional capacity\, and sub-optimal citizen involvement.\n\nLearning: By participating in the webinar\, participants will gain an understanding of air pollution\, city-specific pollutants and sources\, the Air Quality Index (AQI)\, and government initiatives for managing air quality\, including those for Bengaluru.\n \nAudience:  The webinar invites participation from community members\, young researchers\, civil society groups\, students\, and professionals.\nDate: 8 November 2024\nTime: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. IST\nREGISTER NOW!
