An Open House for the Greater Bengaluru Authority’s landmark programme – ‘Revitalising Bengaluru’s Public Spaces’ was proposed as a way to socialise the programme and the nominated public spaces to get commitments for public-private partnerships with companies with CSR funds and philanthropies. The scope of this project was engagement with CSR and Philanthropies to invite participation and Preparation for an Open House. The key deliverables included:

  • Outreach to 30 – 40 companies through e-mails / phone calls / meetings and participation of 10-20 entities at the open house.
  • Commitment of at least 5 entities to support the development of these public spaces.
  • Exhibition and Panel design
  • Social media outreach

A dedicated webpage has been created on the GBA website to host the new program – ‘Transforming Bengaluru Together: Partnership Opportunities for CSR and Philanthropy’. In the same page, a new feature has been added to link back to the Revitalising Bengaluru’s Public Spaces website where the projects are hosted. This page will be further refined in the coming weeks to make it more attractive and simple to understand.

The Open House event was held at Town Hall on Feb 6&7. It included a public exhibition and panel discussion. 170+ projects were displayed at the exhibition, organised by Corporations to allow for focused interaction with government officials. The exhibition garnered significant media attention, with features across major national and regional news outlets. Leading publications including The Hindu, The New Indian Express, and Bangalore Mirror provided coverage alongside digital platforms like Citizen Matters and Asianet News. Furthermore, the program’s regional impact was highlighted through extensive reporting in local Kannada press.
