This podcast series explores the intersectionality of climate change and its links with various city systems in Bengaluru, while also addressing common misconceptions. Each episode will deep dive into a particular city system – in conversation with practitioners, academics and those most affected by the impact of climate change. New episodes drop every fortnight. The Collaborators

Vishwanath Srikantaiah is a Civil Engineer and an Urban Planner by training. He has almost four decades of experience in the water, waste-water and sanitation sector helping design rainwater harvesting, aquifer recharge, wastewater recycling and ecosan systems. He is a Trustee with the Biome Environmental Trust  and a Director at Biome Environmental Solutions, an Ecological Architecture practising firm. He has been a member of several expert and technical committees – on water policy related matters for Karnataka and Bengaluru. What he enjoys most is working with the community and on livelihood based issues with farmers, well diggers, fishers, women on restoring water and land spaces.

The Department of Media Studies at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), has a rich legacy spread over three decades in the domain of media education. As part of the emerging climate communication initiatives of the Department of Media Studies in collaboration with the Department of Life Sciences at CHRIST (Deemed to be) University has created a Media Hub. The Hub serves as a facility for producing and disseminating reliable, engaging and socially relevant media content.

ReRooted.Films is an end to end film production studio dedicated to crafting empathetic, relevant and intentional narratives while adhering to sustainable practices. They are a team of wonderful storytellers, deeply committed to the values they bring alive through their work; be it  helming fiction projects, documentaries, corporate & impact videos, animation projects, podcasts, music videos and impact reports among other things. While they believe in championing stories of people, places, and brands that have been visionaries in their respective fields, we also like to give voices to the underdogs and underrepresented. Samagata Space is a non-profit community venue run by Samagata Foundation, situated on Church Street in the heart of Bengaluru. It is a place open to communities and organizations to host events, meetups, workshops, and small gatherings for up to 50 people. It aims to be a vibrant melting pot of cross-disciplinary collaboration and community engagement that generates small, positive ripples in society; a hub for conversations from diverse backgrounds including the social sector, academia, sciences, arts, technology, and culture.

The Bengaluru Sustainability Forum is an inter-institutional collaborative initiative that aims to address issues reating to long-term sustainability of urban and peri-urban landscapes. The main objective of BSF is to convene and disseminate knowledge on various aspects of sustainability in the urban landscape, with a focus on Bengaluru.
